Ciao!
I’m Alberto Privitera, a materials scientist passionate about spins and light.
I’m currently building my research group in the beautiful city of Florence, within the Laboratory of Molecular Magnetism (LAMM) - a dynamic environment that brings together cross-disciplinary research, at the intersection of the Department of Industrial Engineering and the Department of Chemistry of the University of Florence.
In the coming months, I will expand our facilities with state-of-the-art laboratories, where spin photophysics meets thin film and device development, and launch two exciting projects: SPIRO-χ (FIS Starting Grant) and LIGHT-QIS (ERC Starting Grant).
I’m also hiring motivated PhD students and postdocs who would like to take part in this journey!
If you’d like to learn more about my research and future plans, please explore the website.
Thank you for visiting!
